Winemaker's Notes

The 2006 RandyZin is a compilation of 100% Zinfandel predominately from fruit grown in the Russian River Valley. In 2006, we secured a great source of old vine Lodi Zinfandel which comprises 15% of the master blend. With Zin grown in Lodi having higher Ph's and lower acidity, this addition balanced out the higher acidity found in RRV Zin allowing the wine to taste big-bodied while still preserving the juicy acidity and the "cocktail" factor.

Tasting Notes

Sumptuous in color, this full-flavored Zin begins its journey with perfumed dark berries on the nose... On the entrance, this wine fills the mouth full and round, while on the finish, it's all about the juicy mouthwatering acidity and dusty mixed berries... And with a moderate 14.5% alcohol, it's dry and balanced…
