Grower & Winemaker's Notes

This fruit comes from a 34 year-old vineyard off our Russian River Valley Home Ranch. The cane-pruned vines ensure a low yield of approximately 2.2 tons/acre which creates incredibly intense aromas and flavor profiles. Unlike traditional Gewürztraminers, this wine was fermented to a bone-dry level and was introduced to malolactic bacteria and a few weeks of new French oak, lending the light-bodied wine a creamy mouth feel, yet preserving the refreshingly dry crisp flavors.

Tasting Notes

Fresh tart summer melon aromas, a light creaminess on the mid, and a delightful crisp fresh finish; this dry Gewürztraminer has all the bells and whistles of a world-class Chard. Refreshing and enjoyable walking through the garden on those hot summer evenings!
