Grower & Winemaker's Notes

The 2008 RandyZin is a compilation of 80% Zinfandel predominately from fruit grown in the Russian River Valley as well as other varieties grown throughout Sonoma County. The syrah comes off a hillside southern exposure vineyard in Riebli Valley and Sangio comes from Alexander Valley. These two wines bring lower acid levels than the Zin which allows the blend to taste ready to drink young yet can lay down for 3-5 years.

Tasting Notes

Dark and brooding, our ‘08 RandyZin begins its journey with coarse pepper and black fruit aromas. On the entrance, this wine fills the mouth with dark berry, while on the finish; it's all about the juicy mouthwatering black spicy fruit. And with a moderate 14.6% alcohol, it’s dry and balanced…

The RandyZin represents our desire in Sonoma County to truly enjoy life and not take ourselves too serious.
