Winemaker's Notes

Our 2005 Russian River Valley Zin is grown by Harvest Moon and neighbors on Olivet and Piner Roads. The 2005 vintage was one of the best vintages to date due to the prolonged growing season and other natural variables. With early rains slowing down the initial harvesting period and the classic Indian Summer weather pattern following, the sugars were allowed to slowly mature.

Tasting Notes

This blend of Zinfandel showcases classic Russian River Valley Zin with classic soft red-fruit aromas, a medium mouth feel and a medley of red cherries and tart raspberries intertwined with just the right amount of toasty wood on the finish.

Proprietor's Notes

This is a local Russian River Valley wine. It grew, fermented and aged for 14 months in mostly neutral barrels all within a few miles of the Estate. This wine will taste its best from late 2008 and will continue for the next decade.
